Another escellent brochure on Bird-friendly Farms from Birdlife Australia and the NSW Government provides a marvellous adjunct to Birds in the Burbs.

Four sections address all aspects birds on farms:

1. Why support a bird-friendly farm?
2. Habitat features on rural properties.
3. Managing threats & pressures for birds & their habitats.
4. Getting started – making your farm bird-friendly.

Although specifically addressed to NSW environments, the bulk of the brochure is completely generic and there is plenty there for everyone. The section on how birds benefit farms, for example, is essentially the same as the property benefits brochure provided to all participating landholders along Bernie’s Biolink from Greens Bush to Arthurs Seat.
